2025 David Center for the American Revolution Fellow
Daniel Gomes de Carvalho is a professor of Early Modern History at the University of São Paulo (USP - Brazil). His research examines the Age of Revolutions, with particular attention to intellectual history and transatlantic connections. He is the author of the book Thomas Paine e a Revolução Francesa [Thomas Paine and the French Revolution] (Fino Traço, 2023) and is one of the hosts of História Pirata, one of the largest history podcasts in Brazil. At the APS, Daniel was a 2025 David Center for the American Revolution Fellow working on his project, "Before Common Sense: Thomas Paine as Editor (1775-1776)."
