American philosopher Patrick Suppes (1922 – 2014) was lauded for his interdisciplinary work. He was a Professor in the Stanford University Philosophy, Statistics, Psychology, and Education departments. At the APS, Suppes is remembered by the Patrick Suppes Prizes, which he funded to honor accomplishments in philosophy, psychology, and history of science.
