As of July 6th, APS offices are open to staff and invited visitors. The Society will remain closed to the public for at least the rest of the summer. Library & Museum staff now have access to our collections and will respond to reference and photoduplication requests as soon as possible. However, please note that response times may be delayed due to increased demand. The Society will continue a robust slate of virtual programs throughout the summer and fall. Director of Development

Linda R. Jacobs, Director of Development, leads a team responsible for securing funds for the Society’s operations, endowment, capital projects, and Library and Museum programs and initiatives.  Linda has more than 25 years of experience in non-profit development experience.  Before joining the American Philosophical Society in 2016, she was Senior Director of Strategy and Development at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.  Linda has also held development positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, University of the Arts, and Carnegie Hall.  She holds BA from Haverford College.
