Linda Jacobs, Senior Advisor and Director of Strategic Initiatives, helps to manage the growth and expanded operations of the APS and ensure the effective implementation of projects that serve the Society’s strategic objectives. Linda joined the Society in 2016, serving as Director of Development, responsible for securing funds for the Society’s operations, endowment, capital projects, and core initiatives. Linda has more than 35 years of experience in nonprofit development experience. Before joining the American Philosophical Society, she was Senior Director of Strategy and Development at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and a program officer at the Nelson Foundation. Linda has also held development positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, and Carnegie Hall. She holds BA from Haverford College.
