As a member of the Society’s Development Office, Alexis manages the APS Friends and Alumni program. She works with the Society’s volunteer members of the Committee to encourage fellowship and charitable support among existing and new Friends of the APS, researching scholars, APS Member descendants, alumni of the APS grant and fellowship programs, and families associated with APS collections. Her primary role is to manage the Development Office’s annual giving campaign centering on APS Friends and alumni, whose gifts provide some 30% of annual operating funds for the Society. She previously served as the Society’s grant writer. Alexis received her BA from Hamilton College (with concentrations in government and anthropology) and her MS in historic preservation from the University of Pennsylvania.
