David Center for the American Revolution Predoctoral Fellow
Jenna Hardin is a doctoral candidate at William & Mary whose research focuses on the history of emotion, identity, and culture in Anglo-America and Britain during the long eighteenth century. Her dissertation examines the making and breaking of romantic relationships during the American Revolution, arguing that the conflict altered the legal and cultural systems surrounding courtship and marriage while also transforming how individuals navigated romantic failure, love and intimacy, and emotional attachment.
