Nancy Finn brings more than 15 years of senior fundraising and institutional leadership experience at leading cultural and educational organizations to the newly created Director of Development role at the American Philosophical Society.
Most recently, she held several leadership positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, including Interim Director of Development and Deputy Director of Advancement, where she oversaw major fundraising initiatives, managed large development teams, and helped guide advancement strategy during a significant period of institutional transition. Previously, she served as Chief Development Officer at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and held development leadership roles at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
Throughout her career, Nancy has built high-performing teams, strengthened donor engagement, and led ambitious fundraising efforts. She has contributed to campaigns generating more than $1 billion in philanthropic support and brings deep experience in annual giving, major and planned gifts, corporate and foundation relations, membership, and campaign strategy. She earned an MBA from Golden Gate University and a BA from Western Washington University.
