Keith Pluymers is Assistant Professor of History at Illinois State University. He completed his PhD at the University of Southern California in 2015. His first book, No Wood, No Kingdom: Political Ecology in the English Atlantic was published by the University of Pennsylvania Press in 2021. He is currently working on a project examining Philadelphia’s eighteenth-century water supply and the ideas about public health, climate, and landscape that shaped efforts to supply and manage water.
