Natalie Zemon Davis (1928-2023) was an American-Canadian known for her work on marginalized people in the early modern world. While her work started with French history, her later work included study of Europe, North America, and the Caribbean. She taught at Brown University, the University of Toronto, the University of California at Berkeley, and Princeton University.
