2025-2026 APS Grant and Fellowship Recipients

Since 1933 the American Philosophical Society has awarded research grants to more than 15,000 scholars and encourages all eligible candidates to apply for our grants and fellowships.

In 2025–2026 the Society awarded nearly $2 million to just under 300 scholars. The Grants Department funded 241 projects totaling $1,410,493, and the Society’s Library and Museum awarded 58 residential fellowships totaling $431,400.
