Abstract

This journal was kept by Peale as the assistant naturalist of Stephen Long's expedition west of the Rocky Mountains, May 3-August 1, 1819.

Background note

Titian Ramsay Peale was an artist and naturalist, and was a son of Charles Willson Peale.
