Abstract

This correspondence is between Yell, William Moore, and James Knox Polk, and concerns politics in Arkansas and the United States (1836-1839). There are also letters from Yell while serving in the Mexican War (1847), and accounts of his death there.

Background note

Archibald Yell was a soldier and congressman.
