The British Government feared to draft many troops out of Ireland; only 2,000 out of the 13,000 troops in Ireland were sent to America. Predicts a great future for the United States. Recommends two of his friends for appointment as Consular Agents. Recalls the address of Congress to the people of Ireland signed in August, 1775, and forwarded to him.
