The American Philosophical Society and the Civil War

In honor of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, the Library of the American Philosophical Society has mounted an exhibit, “The American Philosophical Society and the Civil War,” curated by Associate Librarian & Curator of Manuscripts Charles Greifenstein.  The exhibit follows the War chronologically, showcasing items from the Library’s collection and emphasizing the role APS members played during the sectional crisis.
