With collections concerning archaeology, linguistics, cultural anthropology, and physical anthropology, the APS is a rich resource of images depicting both the study of these disciplines and the people who practiced them. David Van Keuren's 1986 publication A Proper Study of Mankind is an excellent introduction to many of the manuscript collections from which these images are drawn. The Anthropology collection may be viewed in their entirety or by the collection from which they are drawn.
