No. If the nominee submits the letter with the application materials, it should be in a sealed envelope. Alternatively, the person nominating you may send the letter directly to the American Philosophical Society office.

Nominees are generally expected to have completed some clinical training prior to being nominated for a Daland Fellowship. Exceptions may be made, however, depending on the circumstances.
