Abstract

An analysis of the material culture of one of the eight extant Mixtec codices, Codex Vindobonensis Mexicanus I.

Scope and content

Native American Images note : Over three hundred vividly colored logographs in the Mixtecan writing systemlanguage. Repainted by the author, the watercolors exhibit pottery, ornaments, weapons, and ceremonial paraphernalia.
