Abstract

These are myths, legends, ethnological notes, and historical information about the Tuscaroras of New York State. Six folkloristic texts, English only, free rendering by Anthony F. C. Wallace of interlinear translations by Albert Samuel Gatschet, 1883-1885. Forty-one groups of ethnographic data, historic notes and texts, collected by J. N. B. Hewitt, 1888-1890.

J. N. B. Hewitt was an Iroquois Indian and ethnologist.
